Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

By the decision of the Scientific Council of ANAS Institute of the History of Science “History of Baku State University” book was published.

The study, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Baku State University, provides to readers the information on measures taken by the Azerbaijani government to create the first European university in the country, parliamentary debates on the creation of a university in Baku and a draft parliamentary law related to the university. The publication also provides information on the activities of the University since 1990.

The authors of the book “History of Baku State University” are the Head of the Department of the Institute of the History of Science, Ph.D in History Ziyad Amrahov and Samir Ismailov. The editor of the book is Director of the Institute, Doctor of History Maryam Seyidbayli.

The author of the “Preface” is the Rector of BSU Elchin Babaev.
