Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

For the first time, a dictionary "Azerbaijani - Uzbek, Uzbek - Azerbaijani" on the project of the Azerbaijani Culture Center named after Heydar Aliyev in Tashkent has been published.

The dictionary is published by the decision of the Scientific Councils of the Institute of Linguistics named after Nasimi of ANAS and the Institute of Literature, Language and Folklore of the National Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.

The head of the project is the director of the Center for Intellectual Property Samir Abbasov, compilers are the head of the Department of Applied Linguistics at the Institute of Linguistics Professor Ismayil Mammadli, Uzbek scholar, linguist Babakhan Sharif and professor Almaz Binnatova.

The reviewers of the publication are director of the Institute of Linguistics of ANAS, academician Mohsun Naghsoylu, head of the Department of Dictionary of the Institute of Language, Literature and Folklore of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, PhD, Associate Professor Abduvahab Madvaliyev , Professor Isa Habibbayli and Rector of Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alishir Navai, Professor Shuhrat Sirajaddinov.

A total of about 23,000 words and phrases are included in the dictionary. The alphabet, used in both languages, is reflected in a special timetable.
