Institute of Literature held a scientific seminar dedicated to the 650th anniversary of Nasimi

Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS held a scientific seminar with the participation of Professor Fatih Uslueri - one of the world famous scholars of Hurufism.

The seminar was held as part of a series of events conducted by the Institute in connection with the Orders of President Ilham Aliyev on the 650th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet Imadeddin Nasimi and declaring 2019 the Year of Nasimi.

First, ANAS vice-president, director of the Institute of Literature, academician Isa Habibbeyli noted that the relevant orders signed by the head of the country are important for studying and popularizing Nasimi’s heritage.

Speaking about the activities of the Academy of Sciences in connection with the anniversary of the poet Nasimi, I. Habibbeyli said that the Institute of Literature put forward valuable scientific research in the field of studying the writer's work.

Further, Rahim Aliyev, Dr. Philology, made a presentation “Fazlullah Naimi, Hurufism and Nasimi”. The scientist said that Nasimi, who studied science, the history of religion, logic, mathematics and astronomy of that time, also benefited from the teachings of Hurufist Fazlullah Naimi. The speaker also noted that Professor Fatih Usluer, who speaks Turkish, Arabic, Persian, English and French, studied and published the works of Naimi and several influential poets.

At the seminar, the chairman of the Public Association for the Study of Cultural Heritage Fariz Khalili made a presentation on his work “Mugaddimatul Hagait” prepared by the organization he submitted.

Then, Professor Fatih Usluer made a presentation on “Imaddeddin Nasimi in the manuscripts of Fazlullah Naimi.”

A scientist who has been studying Hurufism for more than 17 years, said that he explores three areas - the philosophy of history and the texts of Hurufi.

Finally, the Turkish guest Fatih Usluer responded numerous questions on this issue.
