ANAS Central Scientific Library held a scientific conference on "Literary Process-2018", organized by ANAS Institute of Literature.
The event was attended by ANAS Vice-president, academician Isa Habibbayli, academician secretary of the Division of Humanitarian Sciences, academician Teymur Karimli, secretary of the Writers' Union of Azerbaijan, editor-in-chief of ”525” newspaper Rashad Majid, editor-in-chief of "Literary Newspaper", Doctor of Philology sciences Azer Turan, Intigam Gasimzadeh, editor-in-chief of the “Azerbaijan” newspaper, as well as well-known literary scholars of the republic.
Academician I.Habibbayli informed that, the conference “Literary Process” has been held regularly since 2014 and a number of literary organizations and mass media of the country have shown great interest in these events.
He noted that, this process began in 1974 under academician Mammad Jafarov's guidance at the Institute of Literature and continued till 1984 by the participation of literary scholars as Yashar Garayev, Akif Huseynov and Arif Safiev.
I.Habibbayli said that, socialism was defined as a method of creativity in the USSR, and today, in the period of independence there is a multi-mode literature.
He noted that, a multi-method literature of the period of independence is a logical consequence of democratic development in the modern Azerbaijan Republic.
He said that, number of lecturers had increased every year and various areas of the literary process have been explored. The scientist noted that, there are gaps in the field of theories of drama, satire and children’s literature, and the consultations will stimulate the development of these directions.
Then, correspondent member of ANAS Tehran Alishanoglu delivered a paper on “Literary criticism”, Doctor of Philology Elnara Akimova on “Literary view of the year” and others.
