Tashkent held presentation of the book-album "Values and Symbols of Painting by Akmal Nur". Author of the text is the corresponding member of ANAS, Director of Institute of Architecture and Art, Doctor of Art, Professor Ertegin Salamzade on October 4. The album contains about 200 works by the outstanding Uzbek artist, People's Artist of Uzbekistan, chairman of the Academy of Arts of the Republic of Uzbekistan Akmal Nur.
The ceremony was held at the Central Exhibition Gallery of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan. Opening the ceremony, the editor-in-chief of the "Sanat" journal, Doctor of Art Dilfuza Kadirova spoke on the creative team that worked on the preparation and publication of the album book.
Sharing his impressions with the audience on the process of preparing the album, People's Artist of Uzbekistan Akmal Nur said: “They ask me why the author of the work was not an Uzbek, but an Azerbaijani art critic? Because after reading the text written by E.Salamzade about me, I felt that this is me”.
Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Professor Kamola Akilova, noted that E.Salamzadeh knows full well the work of Akmal Nur and for the past 10 years studying works by artist. Doctor of Art Nigora Ahmadova emphasized that, E.Salamzade’s study is a significant contribution to the art studies of Uzbekistan.
At the end of the event, Akmal Nur thanked the organizers and participants of the event.
