Electronic Library of Nakhchivan State University held the event on "Nakhchivan Literary Environment in the Studies by academician Isa Habibbayli" dedicated to the 70th anniversary of ANAS vice president, academician Isa Habibbayli.

Opening the event, Chairman of the Union of Writers of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Honored Worker of Culture Asim Yadigar spoke on the multifaceted work of a prominent scientist who conducted extensive research on the literary environment of Nakhchivan.

Speaking at the event associate professor of Nakhchivan State University Iman Jafarli said that most of the work by academician Isa Habibbayli was devoted to the study and publication of the great satire master Jalil Mammadguluzade.

Further, the reports by the poet Hasanali Eyvazli “Isa Habibbayli and literary criticism in Nakhchivan”, head of the Department of the Nakhchivan State University Shahla Shiralieva on “Isa Habibbayli and the Nakhchivan Literary School”, editor of the newspaper "Nuh Yurdu", poet Gafar Garib "The role of Isa Habibbayli in the development of young literary forces."

Further, the scientists and artists involved in the event congratulated him on his jubilee and wished him success in scientific and social activities.

In conclusion, academician Isa Habibbayli expressed deep gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov for awarding the Order for "Service to the Motherland", 1st class. He gave valuable advices to representatives of the literature on how to organize their future activities, and wished them new creative successes.

The scientist donated 9 volumes “Molla Nasraddin” journal to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Writer's Union.
