Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Director of the Institute of Caucasian Studies, ANAS corresponding member Musa Gasimli attended the first international scientific symposium “Turkish-Armenian Relations”, organized jointly with the Historical Structure of Turkey and the Igdir University.

At a sectional meeting of the symposium, which was attended by scientists from Turkey, Azerbaijan, the United States, Italy, India and Ukraine, M. Gasimli’s report “Mass killings committed by Armenian armed groups in Igdir in the late XIX and early XX centuries (based on materials from Russian and Georgian archives) ”aroused great interest.

The final evaluation of the symposium was held by ANAS corresponding member M.Gasimli, prominent Turkish historians - Professors Kemal Chicek, Hikmet Oksuz and Esen Dayi.
