Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The 13th Application of Information and Communication Technologies (AICT 2019) international conference has launched its work at ADA University on 23 October.

Speaking at the event, ADA University Rector Ambassador Hafiz Pashayev said that the conference on the scientific heritage of prominent scientist Lutfi Zadeh will contribute to the international application of ICT.

It was noted that the main purpose of the conference was to bring together researchers from more than 20 countries on the use of ICT in education, science, management, security, health care, government agencies, communications and communications. to bring together researchers and engineers from around the world in the same geographical space.

Later, vice-president of ANAS, director of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS academician Rasim Aliguliyev greeted the participants on behalf of the leadership of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and noted that this year's AICT Conference is a great honor for the memory and scientific heritage of Professor Lutfi Zadeh, who was born in Azerbaijan, serving the whole world community with incredible achievements and, finally, being buried in his native land in Azerbaijan.

According to him, it is undeniable that Azerbaijan, known as the birthplace of fuzzy technologies, will be the locomotive for all "smart" devices, intellectual cyber-physical systems, Big Data analytics and other artificial intelligence during the forthcoming 4th Industrial Revolution: "Artificial Intelligence," development of theoretical bases of soft computing and other fuzzy "smart" technologies and their application in various areas of human activity is one of the priority areas of Azerbaijani science.”

The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev noted that many strategic projects, state programs and concepts have been adopted by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for capacity building, application of high technologies in various fields of post-Soviet society and acceleration of information process, stressed out academician.

Along with scientific reports, workshops and business meetings along delegations will be organized within the AICT 2019 conference.

Note that the AICT 2019 conference is supported by ADA University, Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, Sabah University Malaysia, IEEE Azerbaijan Department and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
