Obtained Divan by unknown poet, Nasimi's successor Zovgi

Deputy Director of ANAS Institute of Manuscripts after Muhammad Fuzuli, Doctor of Philology, Professor Pasha Karimov has obtained a copy of Divan-a native lyric poems bulk by Azerbaijan unknown poet, Nasimi's successor Zovgi lived in the seventeenth century and whose name unknown to our literature history.

Divan, which was rewritten in 1687, consisting of 168 pages, contains gazelles, murabbe, muhammas and mustazad of the poet. Persian verses are written at the edges of the pages and at the end of the Divan.

Zovgi’s poems one can feel a strong influence of Sufism, especially the great Azerbaijani poet Imadaddin Nasimi. From 134, 64 gazelles are dedicated to Nasimi's verses. In addition, the influence of Fizuli’s creativity on his poetry is felt.

The work constitutes a major concern in studying of the Azerbaijan literature history of the 17th century.
