Today, Institute of Philosophy of ANAS held a round table on the topic “Azerbaijani philosophy and modern science”. The event is dedicated to the World Science Day for Peace and Development, declared by UNESCO on November 10.
The meeting was opened by the director of the Institute of Philosophy, PhD Professor Ilham Mammadzadeh who touched upon the joint activities of science and other fields. He said that "science and peace", "science and management", "science and development", "science and economics", "science and efficiency", "science and artificial intelligence" and so on. directions are of importance and scientists are always thinking about these issues.
Then the department heads of the Institute of Philosophy - PhD Adil Asadov delivered a lecture on “Contemporary Science in the Context of Replacing Paradigms”, Fuzuli Gurbanov on "Dynamics of Azerbaijani Science: Philosophical and Historical View", PhD in Philosophy Sholet Zeynalov on "Philosophy and Science as a Means of Solidarity". The lectures highlight the powerful, philosophical, ideological, scientific and spiritual-cultural concepts of the statehood tradition in Azerbaijan, cognitive paradigms of modern philosophy, controversial aspects of scientific and technical progress etc.
Finaly, Dr. Philosophy Rafiga Azimova, PhD in Philosophy Irada Zarganayeva, Matlab Mahmudov and Mahammad Jabrayilov expressed their opinions on the topic.
