Professor of Kherson State University of Ukraine Ivan Moisienko visited ANAS Institute of Botany.

The goal was to get acquainted with the Herbarium collection of the institute, as well as to study the Limonium Mill and Armeria (DC) Willd species of the Pig family (Plumbaginacea Juss) found here.

Director of the Institute, academician Valida Alizade informed the guest on the research work of institution and joint projects.

Getting acquainted with the Herbarium collections, I.Moisienko praised the work of digitizing herbarium samples and integrating them into a virtual database, as well as held discussions with experts working in this field.

Ukrainian scientist expressed satisfaction with the conditions created at the Institute and praised the wide opportunities for establishing scientific cooperation and exchange of experience.
