Professor Pasha Karimov, deputy director for science at the Institute of Manuscript, obtained from the library of the University of California (USA) a copy of the divan in the native language of the Hurufi poet Sururi, a follower of Imadaddin Nasimi.
The California copy, rewritten by the author in Nastalig handwriting, consists of 120 pages. It includes 424 gazelles written in Azerbaijani, 3 gasida, gite, muamma, matla and mufrad, as well as 31 gazelles and a magta in Persian.
The introduction reflects a poem praising the Ottoman Sultan Suleiman Kanuni (1520-1566). This proves that the poet died in a later period, and not during the reign of Sultan Selim and Shah Ismail Khatai, as indicated in a number of namesake. 215 of the verses are imitations of the gazelles of Ottoman poets - Nijati, Zati, Hayali, Ahmad Pasha, Bahari, Fagiri, Nishati and Ishag Chalabi.
The divan is a valuable source in the study of Azerbaijani literature of the XV-XVI centuries.
