Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The next issue of the “Cultural Azerbaijan” (“Kültürel Azerbaycan”) journal, published in Istanbul as part of a project of the Azerbaijan Cultural Center under the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Türkiye, has been released.

The new issue is dedicated to the great Azerbaijani poet and prominent representative of Turkic world literature, Muhammad Fuzuli.  

The journal, opened with the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev “On the celebration of the 530th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet Muhammad Fuzuli”, gave special attention to the phrase “Muhammad Fuzuli is the pride of the history of Azerbaijani literature and culture” underlined by the head of state in the document.

The “Cultural Azerbaijan” journal features articles by scholars from both countries, including Academician Rafael Huseynov, Professors Mahira Huseynova and Lala Alizade, as well as Turkish Professors Cemal Kurnaz, Mustafa Ise, Ismet Cetin, and others.

Additionally, the publication includes articles by employees of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. The articles of Professor Ataemi Mirzayev, Head of the Fuzuli Studies Sector of the Nizami Ganjavi Institute of Literature, Associate Professor Zahra Allahverdiyeva, a leading researcher of the Nizami Studies Department of the same institute, Associate Professor Ruhangiz Jumshudlu, Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of the Academician Ziya Bunyadov Institute of Oriental Studies, PhD in Philology Alimukhtar Mukhtarov, Director of the Nizami Ganjavi Center of the Ganja Division of ANAS. These articles, published in Turkish, emphasize the contributions of the great poet to Turkic world literature and the significance of his activity.

It should be underlined that the Azerbaijan Cultural Center plans to donate copies of the journal, available in both print and electronic formats, as gifts to leading libraries and research institutions of Türkiye.
