The second grant competition of young scientists and specialists was announced February 2, 2013 - as a gift to the Youth Day.

The second grant competition of young scientists and specialists of 25 projects were announced the winners for the implementation of these projects, it was decided to allocate funds in the amount of 500 thousand manats.

The winning projects of the second grant competition of young scientists and specialists will be realized at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics of ANAS Institute of Information Technology , Institute of Cybernetics , Institute of Geology, Institute of Chemical Problems , Institute of Petrochemical Processes , Institute of Chemistry of Additives , Institute of Botany , Institute of Microbiology , Institute of Literature , in Batabat Astrophysical Observatory Nakhchivan Department of ANAS, Academy of Public administration under the President of Azerbaijan , National aviation Academy, Azerbaijan Medical University, Azerbaijan State agrarian University, Baku Eurasian University, Baku State University , the Research Institute of Pediatrics of the Ministry of Health, public Union “Support for the development and Gynecology .” The list of performers of the project also includes scientists and specialists of Nakhchivan State University and the Research Institute of Agriculture.

20 of the winning projects are of fundamental and applied nature, and 3 of the project are to provide modern equipment and devices. For the two winning projects in Azerbaijan will be an international conference. The 5th International Conference of Young Scientists and Specialists on " Fundamental and applied geological science: Achievements, Prospects, Problems and Solutions " will be held November 14-15 in Baku.

7 projects have been announced as winners in Physics, Mathematics and Engineering, Project 4 - earth sciences, 4 projects - Chemical Sciences, 7 projects - biological, medical and agricultural sciences, 3 of the project - the humanities and social sciences.
