International symposium dedicated to the First World War has been held in Erzurum, Turkey, September 25-27.
Symposium was attended by director of ANAS Institute of History corresponding member Yagub Mahmudov and a group of employees.
Electing for honorary staff of the symposium, Yagub Mahmudov specially highlighted the importance of holding the symposium related to the First World War in Eastern Anatolia – Erzurum.
Scientist stated that, during the First World War a bitter coup had been shot in the Eastern Anatolia and Azerbaijan, carried out genocide against the Turkish-Muslim population by Armenians, Irevan had been compromised for Armenians and they established state of Armenia in our lands.
Employees of the Institute of History - Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs, PhD in history Jabi Bayramov reported on “Role of the oil in military and political plans of Powerful states during First World War”, PhD in history Guntekin Najafli on " Bitter consequences of the policy of establishing Armenian state: genocide committed against Turkish-Muslim population by Armenians in the Eastern Anatolia, Nakhchivan and Irevan regions”.
