Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On February 10, Scientific Council on Clinical, Regenerative and Broadcast Medicine of the Coordination Council of Scientific Research of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a meeting at the Medical Surgical Clinic of the Azerbaijan Medical University (AMU).

The event was opened by Nuru Bayramov, Chairman of the Board, head of the Department of first Surgical Diseases of AMU, corresponding member of ANAS, who informed the participants on the agenda. He said that the main task of the council was to ensure the conduct of scientific research in the priority areas, prevent duplication of topics and analyze and evaluate the results of the research.

The first issue on the agenda was the approval of the priority areas of medical research. The meeting will include regenerative medicine, genomics, molecular biology, broadcast medicine, evidence-based medicine, as well as the application of information and communication technologies in medicine (artificial intelligence) and others. Areas were considered as priority areas of modern medical science and it was decided to conduct research on these specialties.

Then there was a discussion of the methodical manual reflecting the rules for writing annotations in the dissertation.

Highlighting the increase of authorities of coordination councils by the decision of Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Nuru Bayramov challenged council members and supervisors to be responsible for their dissertations.
