Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On October 15 International scientific conference of young scientists and specialists started dedicated to Day of the Oil Workers and 20th anniversary of “Contract of the Century” on theme “Role of multidisciplinary approach in pressing problems of fundamental and applied sciences “.

Scientists and experts of various fields of science from more than 30 countries attended the event.

The event was organized by Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the academy and a joint initiative of State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic and National Academy of Sciences. Opening the meeting President of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh stressed the importance of the event. Today, our country is developing day by day. Academy makes appropriate steps for development of young people, he stated. Academician also noted “Azerbaijan 2020” development concept " and its demands for intellectual youth.

In his speech, Rector of Baku State University, academician Abel Mammadov, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists, PhD in physics Famin Salmanov stated that, event will contribute to the implementation of projects and as well as creative projects.

The conference continued its work on the sections.
