The cooling of the weather in Azerbaijan was caused by the influx of Arctic air masses through Eastern Europe, was announced by Deputy Director for Science of the Institute of Geography of ANAS, PhD in Geography Maharram Hasanov.

Until April 9, the weather is expected to be unstable in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, the temperature will gradually fall, and it will snow in the mountains, he said.

In the first and second decades of April, it is possible to snow in the mountainous areas of the country above 1000-1500 meters above sea level, and this is typical for this period. According to him, snowfall has been observed during this period in recent years.
