An employee of the institute gave an interview on the application of a real-time monitoring system for COVID-19

Senior researcher of the Department of Geoinformatics and Cartography of the Institute of Geography named after academician N.A. Aliyev of ANAS, one of the project executors, Yashar Nasibov, gave an interview to the Space channel about the application of the COVID-19: Azerbaijan Real-Time Monitoring System.

Y. Nasibov noted that by entering a system that reflects the reality of the current time, you can get acquainted with daily updated data on a pandemic in the world, as well as in Azerbaijan.

He noted that when indicating the population by city and region, the number of hospitals and beds per 10,000 people, people over 65, etc., data from the State Committee for Statistics of the Republic of Azerbaijan were used. The copyright for vector data about Azerbaijan belongs to the Institute of Geography.

Y. Nasibov said that if information is provided by official structures, it will be possible to show the area of the pandemic spread in cities and regions during the day.
