Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Scientific-practical conference dedicated to the opening of “Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Turkic world Promotion and Cultural Center” was held at the Guba branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ASPU). The event was co-hosted by ASPU, Tashkent State Pedagogical University (TSPU) named after Nizami Ganjavi and by Guba branch of the ASPU. Before the conference, Isa Habibbeyli, president of ANAS, Yusif Aliyev, the director of the branch and the guests visited the statue of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the Alley of Martyrs in Guba.

Later on, the opening of the bas-relief of “Azerbaijan thinkers” was held and the guests got acquainted with the Azerbaijan- Uzbekistan Turkic World Promotion and Cultural Center at the Guba branch.

Isa Habibbeyli, president of ANAS, vice-rector for international relations of ASPU, professor Mahira Huseynova, deputy head of the Executive Power of Guba district Saida Abasova, rector of Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami Ganjavi, professor Abdugappor Girgizboyev, honored art worker, Azerbaijan fashion designer Fakhriya Khalafova, executive director of Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Friendship Society, professor Erkin Nuriddinov, intellectuals from Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University and Turkish universities, Martyrs’s families, veterans, teachers and students of the Guba branch participated at the conference. After the speeches, the jubilee medals of the Republic of Azerbaijan on “100th anniversary of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (1921-2021)” were presented to a group of members of the Guba branch who gained success in staff training in the sphere of science, education and pedagogy and contributed for development of these directions, actively participated in the social-cultural development.

A concert was also organized during the event.

At the end of the conference the guests met with the students of Guba branch of ASPU, watched the lesson process and got acquainted with the branch.
