According to the decision of the Operative Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated March 14, 2020 on some social isolation measures in the country, all research institutions of the country have suspended the experimental part. The staff of the Institute of Physics of ANAS also continues its scientific activity within the rules of the special quarantine regime.

The security system at the scientific institution is organized at a high level, and disinfection work has been carried out in connection with the pandemic. The director of the institute, academician Nazim Mammadov, and a group of employees transferred 15 percent of their salaries to the Coronavirus Relief Fund.

In addition, in accordance with the relevant order of the President of ANAS academician Ramiz Mehdiyev, the educational process for master students was carried out remotely.
