A remote meeting of the Department of Studies of Arabic Manuscripts of the Institute of Manuscripts named after Muhammed Fizuli of ANAS was held.

The meeting discussed the activities of department employees for four months. The head of the department, Professor Kamandar Sharifov said that during this period he published the 5th volume of “Works” and is preparing the 6th volume. In addition, he prepared an article about the manuscripts of Khalisa Gari, the great-grandmother of Abdulgani Nukhavi Khalisagarizade, stored in the Fund of the Institute of Manuscripts.

Professor K. Sharifov also noted that the department is conducting research on Islamic studies.

It was noted that the department completed the study of the text of ancient copies of the book of Ahmad bin Hassan Charpardi "Sharh ash-Shafiya fit -Tasrif." The theme of the doctoral dissertation "Paleographic features and comparative study of Arabic religious and philosophical manuscripts of the XVII-XIX centuries" was approved at the last meeting of the Coordination Council.

In addition, the department researchers participated in online conferences abroad and published articles based on their lectures.
