Released a book dedicated to the historical and ethnographic study of our occupied regions

The monograph dubbed "Historical and ethnographic research of the south-eastern region of the Lesser Caucasus in the XIX and early XX centuries" by the senior researcher of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS, Doctor of Historical Sciences Solmaz Maharramova, has been published.

The scientific editor of the publication is academician Teymur Bunyadov, the reviewers are professor Gazanfar Pashayev and associate professor Tofig Babayev.

The aid is dedicated to the historical and ethnographic study of the South-Eastern region of the Lesser Caucasus that was a part of Zangazur, Jabrayil and Javanshir districts and occupied by Armenians in the 19th and early 20th centuries, including Lachin, Kalbajar, Gubadli, Zangilan, Jabrayil and Fuzuli regions, which occupied by Armenia today. 

The six-chapter book thoroughly investigates numerous archival materials, historical sources, information about people settled in different regions of Azerbaijan as a result of the occupation and the author's personal observations on the material and spiritual culture of these regions, clothing and jewelry, crafts, folk ceremonies etc.

The monograph is intended for specialists in history, ethnography, art history, folklore, oral folklore and other fields of social anthropology, as well as a wide range of readers.
