The bioextract obtained from the hazelnut shell by the employees of the Sheki Regional Scientific Center (SRSC) of ANAS in a new way was evaluated as an invention by the Patent and Trademark Examination Center under the Intellectual Property Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The center decided to grant a patent for an invention to meet the vital needs of human.

The authors of the invention are Yusif Shukurlu, Director of SRSC, PhD in Physics, Farhad Azizov, Deputy Director for Science, PhD in Biology, and Zarbali Khalilov, chief department, PhDin Biology.

The new invention applies to powdered bioextracts from hazelnut shells based on pharmaceutical, food and light industries, especially waste-free technology. The authors have presented a dry bioex extract from hazelnut shell powder, which is rich biologically active micro and macronutrients, as a means in treatment and prevention of diuresis, cardiovascular, anemia and micronutrient imbalances. In addition, the bioecstrate contains vital micro and macro elements K, Na, Ca, Mg, Fe, Mn, Ni, Cu, Zn, Al, Si, P, S, Ba, Sr, Ti. In order to apply the invention and commercialize the patent, a project was developed and sent to the High Technologies Park of ANAS.
