Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On May 20, at the organization of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Baku State University (BSU), a republican scientific conference "Mathematics, Mechanics and Their Applications" was held, dedicated to the 97th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Director of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics (IMM) ANAS corresponding member Misir Mardanov, ANAS corresponding member Geylani Panahov, as well as IMM employees spoke at an online conference held on the Microsoft Teams platform.

Opening the event, BSU rector Elchin Babayev praised the work of the university staff in organizing the conference and wished success to the work and participants of the event.

The reports “Transport problems in porous media and their solutions”, “Properties of special numbers and special functions of the spectral problem with a break point”, “Necessary conditions for components of optimal processes described by discrete systems” presented at the conference by the IMM staff aroused great interest of the participants.

During the two-day conference, about 30 lectures were listened.
