Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) has a number of activities for the organization of scientific research on new foundations.

Competition research programs announced in connection with the decree of the Presidium of ANAS April 9, 2014, will create the conditions for the expansion of research. The main purpose of the contest is to provide an objective of financing and healthy competition between scientists and research teams.

As stated in the decree, the system of financing of research topics, programs and projects through the competition proved itself in world practice. Requirements set for the programs submitted for the competition, were prepared at the intersection of scientific areas, appropriate priority areas of basic and applied scientific research related to the solution of scientific and technological problems. At the same time, the study should serve to socio-economic and cultural development of our country. The competition, held with the participation of ANAS, were presented 142 program projects that are evaluated by the Expert Commission.
