An international online conference on the topic: "The coronavirus pandemic: from scientific research to ensuring a healthy future" has completed its work in ANAS.
At 9 plenary and about 30 sectional sessions of the conference, 102 reports were presented. On the last day of the conference, which was moderated by the director of the Institute of Physiology of ANAS, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Ulduz Gashimova, reports were heard from representatives of ANAS, Food Safety Agency, Azerbaijan Medical University and other organizations on the clinical features of COVID-19 infection and successful treatment methods , methods of chest examination in the diagnosis of COVID-19 pneumonia, COVID-19-related myocarditis, rehabilitation of psychological disorders that have arisen after COVID-19 disease, and many other issues.
In her closing speech, Vice-President of ANAS, Chairwoman of the Scientific Council of the Division of Biological and Medical Sciences (DBMS), academician Irada Huseynova thanked all the participants of the conference. She noted that the pandemic has once again shown that both fundamental and applied sciences should develop more intensively in the republic, and scientific research aimed at studying natural and anthropogenic threats and risks should be carried out.
Speaking about the need to use modern technologies in research in the framework of measures to combat the pandemic, the academician said that, in accordance with the requirements of the fourth industrial revolution, machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies should be applied in the field of biological and medical sciences, as well as dynamic systems should be studied. that allow predicting results.
