The first volume of the two-volume book "Azerbaijan Turkic mythology" by the head of the department of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, Doctor of Philology Ramazan Gafarli was published in Russian ("Azerbaijan Turkic mythology 1: main sources, initial stages of mythological consciousness, the system of advanced views, religion and myths") in the publishing house "LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing" Germany.

The monograph covers the history of the study of the mythology of the Azerbaijani Turks, theoretical and categorical aspects, methods of research, mythogenesis, archetypal symbols in mythological views, mythological factors in structural poetics, the main categories of systems of structural analysis, the genetic structure of mythical consciousness, etc.
