Scientific Council of the Institute of Oriental Studies discussed the books submitted for publication

The next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Oriental Studies named after academician Ziya Bunyadov of ANAS was held on September 14.

The event was organized in accordance with the requirements of the quarantine period. At the meeting of the Scientific Council, the books of the institute's staff submitted for publication were discussed, and a number of current issues were overviewed.

Employees of the Institute of Oriental Studies continued their fruitful scientific activities during the quarantine period, worked on scientific plans, articles, and prepared several employee books for publication. Four of these books prepared for publication were discussed at the Scientific Council. These are “Maragha and Soyugbulag regions during the Ottoman rule (20s of the XVIII century)” by Gular Gafgazli, head of the International Relations Department of the institute, and “Urmia and Khalkhal regions in the reign of Ottoman”(20s of XVIII century) ” by Yakhshikhanim Nasirova, a senior researcher of the Department of History and Economy of Turkey, etc.

The books have been approved by the Scientific Council and recommended for publication.

Other current issues were also sheduled at the meeting.
