The scientific staff of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics (IGG) of ANAS demonstrates support to the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, which deservedly responded to the military provocation committed by Armenia against our country on September 27.

At the meeting chaired by IGG Director, academician Akif Alizadeh, Armenia's efforts to disrupt the peace talks by various means, disregard for known UN resolutions on Nagorno-Karabakh and cover up Armenia's domestic political, social and economic problems by regularly inflaming the conflict was strongly condemned. The scientists praised the consistent efforts of the President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev to call for a lasting, and decisive peace, and to demonstrate this position in all prestigious international events.

The scientists of the institute said that our soldiers responded to the provocations of the enemy, linking the heavy losses of the Armenian armed forces with the high combat readiness and true patriotism of the Azerbaijani army. The fact that liberation of several villages and strategically important objects belonging to Azerbaijan from the enemy during a short period of battle confirms the competent and correct policy of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

The scientists wished the Azerbaijani Armed Forces new success and expressed readiness to support them.
