Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

A meeting on changing the name of the Institute of Philosophy of ANAS was carried out.

Speaking at the event, first vice-president of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbayli said that the Institute of Philosophy was renamed to "Institute of Philosophy and Sociology" by the Decision of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 374 dated October 3, 2020. In this regard, conveying the congratulations of the President of ANAS, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev, I. Habibbayli stressed that the conduct of scientific research in the field of sociology, along with philosophy, will further expand the scientific activities of the institution.

Then, the director of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Professor Ilham Mammadzadeh expressed his gratititude to the leadership of ANAS for the attention and care on behalf of the staff of the institution.
