Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Institute of Physiology named after acad. Abdulla Garayev of ANAS has published the book "Dictionary of physiological terms (Russian, English, Azerbaijani)".

The textbook compiles about 4,000 terms widely used in modern physiology, as well as other related sciences. The structure of the dictionary is based on the Cyrillic alphabet in the Russian-English-Azerbaijani format of terms, and a scientific explanation of the terms is given in the Azerbaijani language.

The dictionary is intended for specialists in the field of human and animal physiology, doctors, teachers and researchers of medical universities, translators. Students and master students, studying biology and medicine, can also use the dictionary as an auxiliary teaching aid.

Note that the first Russian-Azerbaijani dictionary on human and animal physiology was compiled in 1960 by academician Abdulla Garayev and Professor Maharram Mustafayev.
