Preparation issues for “Music and contemporary music performance” international scientific conference, that is going to be held in 2015, was discussed.

Vice-president of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbayli informed about the measures taken in connection with mugham science and duties ahead.

The role and importance of mugham festivals in the development of national musical culture is important. “Mugham study” department of the Institute of Architecture and Art established in 2014 enables to control scientific researches from one center. The department prepared “Azerbaijani mugham study” collection of scientific papers for the publication, scientist noted.

Academician secretary of Department of Humanitarian and Social Sciences, academician Teymur Karimli, Director of the Institute of Folklore, corresponding member of ANAS Mukhtar İmanov, director of the Institute of Architecture and Art, corresponding member of ANAS Ertekin Salamzade, head of the “Mugam study” department, Dr. in art Sevil Vahabova and others expressed suggestions and opinions.
