Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of ANAS has hosted for a republican online conference on the topic "Nationality and Humanity in the Spiritual Heritage of Nariman Narimanov: Modern Approaches", dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of a prominent public and political figure Nariman Narimanov.

Opening the event, the director of the institution, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Ilham Mammadzadeh touched upon the scientific and political activities of Nariman Narimanov, noting that he played an important role in the history of Azerbaijan: “If we, philosophers, approach the subject from the point of view of historical memory, we see that Nariman Narimanov played a special role. I would like to note that there is no historical memory without political figures. Because historical memory is a process, and philosophers must be involved in this process. N. Narimanov's legacy makes it possible to objectively analyze and study his national-ideological activity from a philosophical point of view in accordance with the conditions of the time. "

Further, lectures - "Political and state activities of Nariman Narimanov", "Experience of Narimanov in understanding the phenomenon of religion", "Views of Nariman Narimanov on progress and freedom", "Internationality and nationality in the worldview of Nariman Narimanov" and "Philosophical and anthropological views of Nariman Narimanov” etc. have been listened.
