Shusha, where Armenians could not change

The Armenian community living in Nagorno-Karabakh erected a monument "Maraga 150" in the village of Maraga, Agdara region, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the resettlement of the first 200 Armenian families from Iran after the Turkmenchay Treaty. Later, during the escalation of Armenia's territorial claims against Azerbaijan, the monument was destroyed by Armenians.

This opinion was expressed by the head of the Department of Armenian Studies of the Institute of Caucasus Studies of ANAS, Doctor of Historical Sciences Gasim Hajiyev. G. Hajiyev said that there are numerous documents and sources confirming the resettlement of Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh, Azerbaijan in general and the South Caucasus.
