Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Elnur Mustafayev, a researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies of ANAS named after academician Z.M.Bunyadov, gave a live interview to BBC Arabic.

It was noted in the interview that the Armenian side asked for 10 more days to evacuate the illegally settled population in the Kalbajar region, which was officially returned to Azerbaijan after 28 years of occupation, and the Azerbaijani side accepted this request based on humanistic values.

The orientalist also gave an interview to BBC radio about the recent events. In his interview, Mustafayev spoke about the damage caused by Armenians to the ecology of Azerbaijan, as well as material and spiritual monuments.
