In accordance with the provisions of " Azerbaijan 2020: vision to the future “, approved by Decree of the President Ilham Aliyev on December 29, 2012, Center for Scientific Innovations of ANAS held a presentation for the first time prepared for this area” Regional Innovation program”.

The event, held on December 26, 2014 at Heydar Aliyev Center was opened by the head of the executive power of Zardab region, PhD in Economics Lutveli Babayev.

Dr. Economics, Professor Tabriz Aliyev provided detailed information about the structure and content of the “Regional innovation program”.

Then presentations were made by academicians Ziyad Samedzadeh, Teymur Bunyadov, correspondent member of ANAS Ali Nuriyev, PhD in Law Azer Namazov, Colonel Abdullah Gurbani and others.

It was noted that investments made in fixed assets in the region in 2007 amounted to 1 million. 295 thousand manat. In late 2013 this amount was already 32 million 600 thousand manat.

The overall performance in 2007 has increased from 37 million manat to 99.8 mln manat in 2013. Compared with 2007, the district budget in 2013 increased by 2 times, and the amount of funds allocated for urban development, increased by 5 times.

As a result of activities undertaken in the last 10 years in the area created over 8,000 new jobs.

Each year, the share is 1 person produces about 1 ton of grain products. In the area were also obtained successful results in the field of agriculture.
