Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

79 years have passed since the death of Huseyn Javid, a prominent representative of Azerbaijani literature, great poet and playwright. On this occasion, a commemorative event was held at the Huseyn Javid House Museum of ANAS.

The event was held online in accordance with the requirements of the quarantine regime in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Director of the museum, doctor of philological sciences Gulbeniz Babakhanlı spoke about the life and rich creativity of the writer.

In her speech, G. Babakhanlı noted that the real acquittal of H. Javid was given by the genius Heydar Aliyev.  Thanks to the instructions of the national leader, house-museums of H.Javid were established in Baku and Nakhchivan, and a mausoleum was erected over his grave in Nakhchivan.
