The Institute of Manuscripts continues to digitize ancient manuscripts

Institute of Manuscripts named after Mahammad Fuzuli of ANAS successfully continues the work on digitization of ancient manuscripts preserved since 2014.

Most of the more than 12,000 Arabic, Persian and Turkish manuscripts preserved in the funds of the Institute of Manuscripts have already been digitized. At present, more than 5,000 manuscripts have been digitized by special scanners and included in the electronic library of the institute. Digital versions of manuscripts of the works of great Eastern thinkers such as Nizami Ganjavi, Alisher Navaiy, Mahammad Fuzuli, Imadeddin Nasimi, Nasreddin Tusi, Abu Ali ibn Sina are reflected in the electronic library.

Since last year, researchers have been able to connect to a local server via computers in the company's reading room and view catalogs and digital copies of electronic manuscripts. In the near future, the electronic catalog and electronic library of the Institute of Manuscripts will be made available to readers via the Internet. Those who want to get acquainted with the initial catalog of manuscripts included in the electronic library of the institute can use the following links:

- Catalog of Turkic manuscripts;

- Catalog of Arabic manuscripts;

- Catalog of Persian manuscripts.
