The next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of ANAS was held.

The event was opened by the director of the institute, academician Akif Alizadeh, who informed the participants about the agenda of the meeting.

Then, a report by Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences Namaz Yusubov on "Dostlug" (Kapaz) field as a free geological structure of the Absheron-Balkhanyan uplift zone" was heard.

Then, academician Akif Alizadeh's report on "Nizami Ganjavi and earth sciences" was heard within the framework of the tasks arising from the Presidential Decree on declaring 2021 the "Year of Nizami Ganjavi".

A.Alizadeh recited verses reflecting scientific considerations in the poems of the great poet included in "Khamsa" and noted that Nizami was a scientist along with other merits...
