Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

According to the decisions of the Presidium of the Ganja Branch of ANAS and the Scientific Council of the Institute of Manuscripts named after Mohammad Fuzuli, the monograph "Nizami Ganjavi and Azerbaijani folk art" was published.

The monograph is devoted to the study of Azerbaijani folklore and folk ceremonies in the works of the great poet. The work shows that Nizami Ganjavi skillfully uses such widespread types of Azerbaijani oral folk literature as sagas, tales, proverbs and folk proverbs, bayats. For the first time, Nizami Ganjavi and folk art, Azerbaijani ceremonies and folklore motifs in Nizami's legacy were scientifically studied here, and many subtle details of the great poet's folk traditions were expressed through various artistic means.

The monograph is aimed at researchers of Nizami Ganjavi's legacy, students and masters studying philology, doctoral students and dissertators, as well as to manage the interests of Nizami's work for a wide range of readers.
