Last farewell with notable scientist Shamil Fatullayev

Main building of ANAS held last farewell ceremony with notable architect-scientist, State Laureate, winner of “Shohrat” order, individual pensioner, Honored Architect of the republic, acad. Shamil Seyfulla oglu Fatullayev.

Ceremony was attended by governmental officials, MPs, scientific dignity, intellectuals and public figures.

Funeral was surrounded by wreathes on behalf of different governmental staffs, but in front of the funeral was put the wreath on behalf of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Colleagues, friends, peers of scientist shared their memories about academician.

Opening the ceremony president of ANAS, acad. Akif Alizadeh spoke about notable scientist Shamil Fatullayev’s efficient academic performance and his merits in architecture development in the republic. He has established the school of architecture and devoted 60 years of his life to Azerbaijan architecture. Academic heritage of modest and kind man Sh. Fatullayev will be immortal and deliver from further generations, stated A. Alizadeh.

Vice-president of ANAS, acad. Isa Habibbayli, rector of Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, MP Gulchohre Mammadova, executive chairman ofAzerbaijan Architects’ Union Elbey Gasimzadeh and director of the Institute of Architecture and Art corresponding member Ertegin Salamzadeh made speech on scientist’s services in Art study and architecture in Azerbaijan, his human features and expressed heartfelt condolences.

Speaking on behalf of deceased’s family, Elchin Aliyev expressed his gratitude for care and respect to scientist’s memory.

Scientist’s funeral was buried in the II Alley of Honor.

Shamil Fatullayev’s memory will live in the hearts of people who knew him.
