Nasser Abdul Karim, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Palestine to Azerbaijan, visited ANAS Central Scientific Library (CSL).

Director of CSL, PhD in medical sciences Leyla Imanova expressed her satisfaction with seeing the guest for the twice in the library and hoped for the meeting would contribute to the development of bilateral relations.

Ambassador Nasser Abdul Karim spoke about the relations between the two countries and stated that Azerbaijan was one of the first countries to recognize Palestine as a state and underpinned the Palestinian issue at its position. Amongst other sectors, both countries collaborate in the science, education, and culture.

As political events occurring in Palestine were affected to the country's science, education and culture, the diplomat highlighted the significance of expanding ties with higher education institutions and modern scientific centers of Azerbaijan for this purpose.

Dealt with meetings carried out in several educational ventures of Azerbaijan, ambassador noted the importance of data exchange between libraries of Palestine and CSL, joint program and projects as well.

Later on, L. Imanova proposed the organization of joint work through Embassy due to preparing the nook reflecting history, science and culture of Palestine and memorandum of cooperation that to be intended to sign.
