ANAS Nakhchivan Branch held 65th training of “Heydar Aliyev’s lecture” on May 5.

Training titled as “Heydar Aliyev and independent statehood in Azerbaijan” was opened by chairman of the branch, acad. Ismayil Hajiev who noted that, our country's leading position in the former Soviet republics in Soviet times, then as an independent state once again take place on the geopolitical map of the phenomenal confidence associated with the name of Heydar Aliyev. As an historical figure and national leader Heydar Aliyev donated stability and prosperity to our people our country. By saying, "My life target was to serve economic, political, and moral development of my beloved Azerbaijan people", - great leader repeatedly confirmed his words in hardest days of our country, stated I. Hajiev.

Then, chief department of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology, Nakhchivan Branch, senior lecturer Emin Shikhaliev provided information on exceptional merits of national leader and noted that, being sparkle conveyer of statehood history of Azerbaijan, national leader achieved establishing of modern independent Azerbaijan.  Reforms lay down by H. Aliyev are fruitfully continued up to date, he reported.

It was noted that, currently, Azerbaijan is one of the fastest growing countries in the world and one of the leadings in the region. Also, possesses the decisive geopolitical importance in the South Caucasus. Azerbaijan is a "geopolitical window" opening to both East and Central Asia as well.  Today, development of our republic is compared with the leading countries of the world.
