Poems of Nasimi in Fatih album of Istanbul's Topkapi Palace Museum

According to the agreement made during the negotiations by academician-secretary of ANAS Department of Humanitarian Sciences, Director of Institute of Manuscripts Teymur Kerimli with Istanbul's Topkapi Palace Museum, head of the Department of Scientific exposition and presentation of manuscripts of the institute Nigar Babakhanli was on the scientific trip to Istanbul and conducted research on the stored exhibits.

Among authors of these works it is possible to come across names of representatives of Turkey, Iran and Central Asia.

Among them Sultan Ali Yagubi, Abdurrahim Kharazmi, Sheikh Mahmud Heravi, Ustaq Mohammad Siyahgalam and others can be shown.

Calligraphers have copied Sheikh Kammaladdin Isfahani, Abdurrahman Jami and Imaddaddin Nasimi’s poems with mastership.

Unknown calligrapher had written Nasimi's poems by fine line.

Necessary to note that, in the albums that were compiled in the middle ages of Near and Middle East the name of great Azerbaijani poet Nasimi has not been found so far.

Therefore, finding in the Fateh’s album is of great interest.

One of them has a rod in his hand. Dervishes are talking with each other.

Under this image were written Nasimi’s two poems.

First of them of 7 couplets is full, and the second of 3 couplets is incomplete.

Apparently, it was impossible to copy the second poem because the lack of space.

The first gazal: “Ey xətün, rəngi üzarun çün bəqəm qatında nil, Ol cəmalun zikridir zikrüm, zehi zikri-cəmil” beyti ilə başlanır. Şairin əsərlərinin Bakı nəşrlərində bu beyt “Ey rüxün, rəngi-üzarın çün bəqəm qatında nil, Ol cəmalın vəsfidir fikrim, zehi-fikri-cəmil” kimi gedib. Cəmi üç beyti köçürülmüş ikinci qəzəl belə başlanır: “Susadum vəslünə, ey çeşmeyi-heyvan, bəri gil, Yaxma bəhrün daməni minca gil, ey can, bəri gil”.

Baku edition of the poem consists of 10 couplets.

In comparison to Baku editions of Nasimi’s works, copy differences attract attention between two poems.
