By the decision of the Academic Council of the Institute of Linguistics of ANAS, "Mirza Mohammad Afshar’s "Fenni-sarfu nahvi-turki" (grammatical sketch, transliteration of the text, vocabulary and a photocopy of the manuscript)" book was released in the "Elm ve tehsil" publishing house.

The book gives a transliteration of the works of one of the prominent representatives of Azerbaijan linguistics XIX century M.Afshar dubbed "Fenni-sarfu nahvi-turki" from Arabic into the modern alphabet, grammar sketch prepared on the basis of comparisons with the linguistic works of modern era, including explanatory linguistics terms and vocabulary of the words of Arabic and Persian origin that are difficult to understand. Scientific editors of the book are director of the Institute of Linguistics, Academician Tofig Hajiyev and professor Kamandar Sharifli.

The new publication will be a valuable resource for scientists, linguists, researchers engaged in teaching the history of the Azerbaijani language, and for a wider audience.
