Archaeological researches is ongoing in Dashkasan region

Dashkasan - Goranboy archaeological expedition of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of ANAS carries out archaeological researches Dashkesen region.

According to the head of the expedition, PhD in history Bakhtiyar Jalilov during excavations carried out in the Zaylik village of Dashkesan region, they were investigated 5 stone box graves and a mound.

The stone box graves were made of large pieces of rock.

During the excavations was found a large number of samples of ceramic ware dated back late Bronze Age and early Iron Age, as well as metal jewelry, spearheads, bracelets, necklaces and other jewelry.

B.Dzhalilov reported that, during the field research by the archaeological expedition were involved in the study unexplored mounds and tombs which aren't studied yet. The scientific results obtained in the course of research are important in study of ancient history of Azerbaijan, religious and secular views and burial traditions of the people of that era.
