The director of the Chingiz Aitmatov Institute of Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan, Academician Abdıldacan Akmataliyev, along with a group of the institute’s staff, visited the National Museum of Azerbaijani Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi, together with the executive director of the Institute of Literature of ANAS named after Nizami Ganjavi, Ph.D. in Philology Mehman Hasanli.
The longstanding literary relations between Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan continue to this day. Azerbaijani readers study and research the works of prominent figures of Kyrgyz literature, especially Chingiz Aitmatov, a distinguished personality in the Turkic world.
The guests viewed the rich exhibition of the museum. The museum’s scientific associate spoke about the similarities between the Kyrgyz literary work, epic of “Manas” and the epic “Kitabi-Dada Gorgud” as well as other examples of common Turkic literature-such as Mahmud Kashgarı “Dîvânu Lugâti't-Türk”, Yūsuf Balasaguni “Kutadgu Bilig” and the Orkhon-Yenisei inscriptions.
Academician Abdıldacan Akmataliyev and the employees expressed their satisfaction and wrote heartfelt words in their native language in the “Guest Book” in the end of the visit.
