Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

At Baku State University (BSU) started its work "Management and Optimization of Industrial Application" (COIA-2015) the V International scientific conference co-organized by Institute of Applied Mathematics of same of university, Ministry of Communications and High Technologies, Copyright Agency of Azerbaijan Republic and University of Illinois, USA on 27 August.

The conference was attended by scientists and experts from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, the USA, Iran, Kazakhstan and other countries.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Minister of Communications and High Technologies, academician Ali Abbasov noted that, Azerbaijan pays a great attention to the development of science and education, stressed that this issue is one of the main directions of the policy pursued by President Ilham Aliyev.

The Minister said that, at the international event will be discussed in detail the application of scientific and theoretical developments in the industry and economy. Highly appreciated the participation to the event of well-known scientists and specialists from different countries, A. Abbasov noted that, in order to compete with the advanced countries of the world it is necessary to pay special attention to the development of science and technology.

It was reported that, during the conference about 200 papers of the 277 scientists from 26 countries will be heard. The first two of the conferences, which became already traditional on this theme, were held in Baku, the third - in 2011 in Turkish Bilkent University, the fourth - in 2013 at the Sofia Technical University.

Rector of Baku State University, MP, academician Abel Maharramov noted the importance of the conference, stressed that the current optimization and control are one of the leading and actual scientific problems in the world. The rector said that now there is no scientific sphere, which it wouldn't be required to find the optimal solution of the problem.

Rector stressed that, in recent years by the scientists of Baku State University annually implemented up to the 90 programs and grant projects in the scientific and educational spheres. It was noted that, the work undertaken by scientists of Baku State University is carried out in collaboration with a number of leading universities of the world.

The academician A. Magerramov also noted that, so far the BSU signed the contracts on cooperation with more than 300 universities of 60 countries of the world and is the member of many authoritative associations and takes the advanced positions in the international rating tables. Noted the value of carrying out in BSU of so important conference, the rector hoped that the event will reach its goals.

The Deputy Minister of Education Firudin Gurbanov emphasized that, each scientific conference held in Baku has to be regarded as an important event in public life of our country.

The Deputy Minister of Education expressed confidence that the international conference with participation of scientists from 26 countries will stimulate development of the researches conducted in the world in this sphere, to expansion of communications between scientists. Carrying out of the conference in Baku will also promote development and promotion of the Azerbaijani science. Holding of the conference in Baku will also contribute to the development and promotion of Azerbaijani science.

F.Gurbanov noted that, in our country always show consideration for development of science and education. He emphasized that, recently in this sphere big reforms are carried out, a number of important state documents is accepted.

Chairman of the International Program Committee of the conference, Ukrainian Professor Vladimir Larin stressed that, the holding of this event, which involved well-known scientists of the world, has become a tradition, and it is highly appreciated. Noting that, the program of the conference includes discussions on important issues relating to, Ukrainian scientist expressed confidence that the meetings of the sections will be held interesting discussions.

Professor of Illinois University Tamer Bashar emphasized that, the conference devoted to a 

very actual theme

 is a significant event for the scientific world.

Expressing the confidence scientist said that, the conference will be held in the future will expand its geography and the next event from this cycle will be held in two years in New York.

Noted that, every time, coming to Baku, he becomes the witness of big transformations and high hospitality, T. Bashar wished success to the Azerbaijani state and the people.

Russian scientist Yuriy Yevtushenko noted the effective cooperation between Russian and Azerbaijani scientists, said that, the conference will contribute to the development of these relations and wished success to the participants.

American Professor Stephen Boyd noted the importance of the conference in terms of exchange of experience, he expressed confidence that the event will take place effective discussion of important topics.

Then, Professor of Illinois University Tamer Bashar was delivered paper on "Competing network element multi-agent system".

At the event the Minister of Communications and High Technologies, Academician Ali Abbasov was awarded by "The friend of university", the group of foreign scientists by "The guest of honor of university".

Then, the conference continued its work in sections.

Then, by the scientists and experts were presented papers on the theme "Control and optimization", "Global optimization", "The optimization of form", "Identification and optimization techniques in anti problems", "Intelligent and fuzzy control", "Numerical methods of optimal control", "Application Programs" "Network and telecommunication systems", "Oil industry", "Economy", "Mathematical modeling".
