Presentation of Academician Bakir Nabiyev's “Uzeyir Hajibeyli’s life chronicle” book was held by joint organization of ANAS Central Scientific Library and Institute of Literature on September 21. New edition was released within the Academician Uzeyir Hajibeyli’s 130th and Academician Bakir Nabiyev’s 85th anniversaries.

Reporting in the presentation ceremony director of Central Scientific Library, PhD in medicine Leyla Imanova spoke about the unfadable composer’s role in Azerbaijan classical music art, including in formation of historical-cultural heritage.

Then, Vice-President, director of the Institute of Literature Academician Isa Habibbayli characterized the book as one of the perfect works written about Uzeyir Hajibeyli so far. Genres of U.Hajibeyli creativity have been comprehensively investigated in the work, human qualities of notable composer who recognized Azerbaijan music in the whole world, were reflected vividly and cordially, he noted.

Isa Habibbayli stressed out that, the new edition is the first book in the series of “Uzeyir study” which illuminates U. Hajibeyli’s life and creativity.

By the decision of the Presidium, two books dedicated to the 85th anniversary of literary critic Academician Bakir Nabiyev are under preparing, and event on the occasion of outstanding scientist’s anniversary will be held by the Institute of Literature that led by him, stated I. Habibbayli. 

Tradition of celebrating the birthday of the composer as a holiday has been laid by national leader Heydar Aliyev. By the Order of the national leader in 1995 – on the eve of 110th anniversary of prominent composer, each year September 18 - is celebrated as the Day of National Music.

Lectures on following topics; “Uzeyir Hajibeyli’s life chronicle” as a national cultural event”, “Strokes from the book”, “Gulchohra’s aria from “Uzeyir Hajibeyli. Arshin mal alan” opera, “Adagio from “Afrasiyab Badalbayli. “Miden tower” ballet, “Folk music. Evleri var khana-khana”. Niyazi “Arzu” etc. were listened in the presentation ceremony.
